Congratulations to songwriter Dan Mathews of St. Paul Minnesota on the signing of his thirteenth song demoed by Play It Again! And in this case thirteen is a very lucky number:

Way back in '06, Dan, unhappy that his songs produced by other Nashville demo services weren't getting interest from song publishers and even one service that took his money but delivered only promises, no demo, decided to try us.

Bill Watson of Play It Again produced a 24 track demo of Dan's song "Lady In The Harbor" with Steve Sturm (of Travis Tritt) engineering. Dan's first pitch attempt of the resulting production resulted in offers from two publishers in Nashville and one in Los Angeles, CA with Dream Seekers (BMI) of Nashville, TN getting the nod. That demo also won the $5,000 first place prize in KSCT45 television's WE Fest song contest (KSCT45 is a radio/tv station based in Dan's hometown of St. Paul, MN).

Since 2006, Dan has had twelve more songs signed by various publishers, all produced and engineered by Bill Watson at Play It Again Studios including the most recent, "Daddy's Hand" signed by Brandon Hills Publishing (BMI) in January of 2010 with the comment, "This is a top ten hit right out of the box, no doubt about it."
